This exceedingly rare 1950’s lounge chair and ottoman was designed by T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings for Widdicomb. This chair is model 2043. Both chair and ottoman have been given a full restoration with professionally refinished walnut bases and deep sapphire blue Italian leather upholstery.

In an effort to streamline both comfort and appearance the original button tufting detail has been deleted from the chair’s design. The original ottoman, shown here, very rarely comes to market as it was only produced in very limited quantities at time of production. This is a rare find finished in a dazzling retro blue leather that will age beautifully for the next generation of mid century enthusiasts.
